Catie’s Closet is a Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing essential clothing and toiletries to students facing challenges such as poverty and homelessness. These basic necessities are crucial for ensuring that students can attend school without the stigma associated with lacking proper attire.

The Catie’s Closet app offers a streamlined way to support local students in need. Donating items is straightforward:

 <li>Make a Monetary Donation: If you lack items but still wish to contribute, financial donations are equally vital. Your generosity allows us to acquire brand-new essentials that students request immediately.</li>
</ul>

Catie’s Closet prioritizes transparency by providing updates on your impact as a donor, including the number of students served. Each time you donate through the app, we will inform you of your contribution's progress.

Research indicates that one of the primary reasons low-income students experience chronic absenteeism is the lack of basic essentials necessary for school attendance. Missing school days leads to academic setbacks and increases the risk of dropping out. Being ill-equipped can severely affect a child's self-esteem and contribute to mental health struggles, as children often feel isolated without proper hygiene and clothing.
